Heart of Summer was inspired by a moment in my garden when the flowers were so bright and radiant they were impossible to ignore. A single zinnia, open and vibrant, seemed to hold onto the warmth of the season.

I hope to capture in my painting the feeling of standing in front of something so full of life that it makes you pause—even for just a moment.
