Grace and Grit | Original Watercolor by Lyn Foley

Have you ever noticed how something delicate can also be so strong?

The crepe myrtle trees in my new Texas garden survived the long, hot summer when other plants did not. I was struck by the strength of the stems supporting such delicate, beautiful blossoms.

That contrast inspired Grace and Grit — the strength and grace of a crepe myrtle blossom, both existing together.

I think anyone who gardens or simply loves plants can appreciate how something so graceful and beautiful can also be remarkably strong.

Grace and Grit is an original watercolor inspired by the beauty and strength of the crepe myrtle.
