The Nepal Necklace | Ancient Treasures Collection
Nepal, landlocked between China and India, was smack dab in the middle of ancient trade routes. Beads were very much a part of the spiritual and daily life of the peoples of Southeast Asia. Instead of making an impression of an ancient bead of the region, I made a bead to represent the craggy mountains, blue skies, and rough terrain a traveler would cross on the overland trade route.
The Nepal Necklace glass pendant has hills and valleys, and is accented with copper. The brass chain is 24" long, and may be adjusted shorter by use of the lobster claw clasp.
