Red Hills Necklace | Desert Blooms Collection
My husband and I followed a dream and sailed around the world on our small sailboat. At one point in our journey we anchored in the Red Sea off the eastern desert coast of Egypt and the Red Hills.Vivid memories of the orange-red hills, the red sand, and the red orange glow of the volcanic hills lit by the setting sun served as inspiration for the Red Hills Necklace.
Two strands of pearls, one in salmon, the other in golden sand, are set with orange/red glass flowers and leaves, flowers that might have bloomed in that red desert after a rain. The strands end in gold plated bead caps, and close with an adjustable chain and lobster claw clasp. When you wear the Red Hills necklace the flowers will face forward, and you can use the necklace to remind you to follow your own dreams. I picture you adorned with the Red Hills Necklace, wearing a colorful flowered dress and dancing under the stars reflected off the nearby ocean.
The glass flower centers are pink quartz, and the flowers and leaves are my handmade glass. The necklace is 17" at the shortest setting, and is adjustable in increments to 20". Learn about the clasp here.
